Newsletter 7.1 - February 2, 2024

Thank you to all who attended our PTA General Association Meeting this morning. There was a lot of valuable feedback shared on ways that we can improve the experience for our students at Ashley Falls! As we work on the takeaways, we will share updates in our newsletter.

Here's the scoop

The Little Mermaid, Jr

Come support the Ashley Falls Drama Club students in this special production of The Little Mermaid Junior!

This is a fun opportunity to expose your child to the theatre in a bite sized format. Plan a parent/child date and enjoy the talents of our amazing students! Or bring a group of friends to experience the show!

The entire show is around 90 mins and includes a short performance from our K-2nd students along with the full musical and intermission.

Tickets can be purchased at the door!

Ticket proceeds benefit the Ashley Falls PTA and the Ashley Falls Drama Club.

There is still time to purchase Teacher Feature drawing tickets!

The drawing will be held next Friday, Feb 9th and winners will be notified the following week.

You can purchase as many tickets as you'd like. All donations are tax deductible and proceeds go towards making our school a fun place to learn!

Family Dance

"Under the Stars" Family Dance

Friday, February 9th from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, join us for a night of dancing with a DJ, photobooth, food, space games and all around fun!

Feel free to dress up in your favorite theme of stars, space, glow attire, etc. This a chance to have fun!

Catering by Buckboard Events includes burgers, impossible burgers, mac and cheese, and hot dogs. There will be juice and a mini donut bar for dessert.

Friday, Feb 9th Ashley Falls MUR and Blacktop turn into a night among the stars with dinner, dancing, fun picture ops, and fun "space games". We need help with check in and clean up!

Spring Book Fair

The spring Scholastic book fair arrives the first week of March and conveniently coincides with parent-teacher conference week. Experience the joy of the Scholastic book fair through the eyes of the students and maybe find some literature for your house!

On March 22nd, Ashley Falls turns into the biggest community potluck with families sharing their familial cultural traditions and backgrounds. Your help and contributions is what will make this a successful and fun event. Will you join us?

The capstone to our PTA family and community events for the year, on May 3rd Ashley Falls school becomes the finest Art Gallery in Carmel Valley exhibiting every Ashley Falls student's artistic work and developing talent.

Come be a part of creating the magic for the evening.

Volunteer for NOTA

Mileage Club is still running strong! Ashley Falls students have run over 3,408 miles this year!
We just voted to increase our budget on school wide assemblies, so we have a few more planned including "I Love a Clean San Diego" coming up in the next few weeks!
The PTA donated over $3,000 from the fall book fair revenue to our Library. Stay tuned for all the fun new books arriving in a month!
The general association voted for additional support of the Everyone's A Reader program and the Safety Patrol program.
