Happy New Year, Eagles!

We hope you had a fun filled break and had some fun adventures! See you all on Monday!

Please save the date for our General Association Meeting on Feb 2 after drop off. We will be voting on some updates to the PTA budget and need quorum. Bring your questions regarding how or where we spend PTA funds on campus or any questions/concerns that Darlene can present at district meetings.

What's happening in January?

Teacher Features Raffle

Our annual "Teacher Features" raffle starts January 10th and concludes February 9th. Imagine being a teacher for a day, enjoying lunch with your favorite teacher, or getting a behind-the-scenes look into their world!

You can purchase raffle tickets for the individual teacher-student experiences on our website throughout the month.

The drawing will be held Feb 9th and winners will be notified the following week.

You can purchase as many raffle tickets as you'd like. All donations are tax deductible and proceeds go towards making our school a fun place to learn!

The Little Mermaid, Jr Performances

Feb 2nd and 3rd

Come support the students of Ashley Falls in this special production of The Little Mermaid Junior. In a magical kingdom fathoms below, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that she's the girl with the enchanting voice.

Ticket proceeds benefit the Ashley Falls PTA and the Ashley Falls Drama Club.

International Night committee meeting

We are excited to continue the Ashley Falls tradition of International Night on March 22, 2024.

There is another planning/info session on

Wed, Jan 17th from 6 - 7 pm.

The committee meetings will go over all the details of International Night.

We are looking for volunteers to host country tables!

If you are interested, please sign up HERE.

Even if someone has already signed up for your country, feel free to sign up as well! It means you already have extra support!

School Assemblies

On December 18th, "Shows that Teach" came to Ashley Falls to perform "Stop. Think. Act" for the students. Through the use of puppets, open discussion, and comedy, students were encouraged to stop, think, then act in order to make smart choices in their every day lives.

Did you know? Assemblies are selected by the PTA VP of Programming and Mrs. Pecorella and paid for by the PTA. This was the second PTA-sponsored assembly this year and we have 3 more in the works!

Garden Club

The Garden Club ended 2023 with a feast of roasted kohlrabi, fennel, and cheddar cauliflower! Believe it or not, it was a big hit amongst the garden clubbers!

They found some fun "critters" and created habitats for them until they were released before break. The praying mantis (not pictured) wanted to stay in our amazing garden.

With the dahlias finally blooming, students were able to make bouquets for their teachers!

Garden Club is M-F at lunch time! Hosted by Mrs. Fallon-McKnight, Mrs. Ormsby and Mrs. Shaw and sponsored by the PTA! Your PTA funds at work!

December Movie Night

Our Home Alone movie night was an awesome family event. It was fun to see so many families before the holiday.

Special thank you to Jaya, our VP of External Events, Nick from DJ Extreme, and our community sponsors for making the event possible!

We hope to see everyone again at our spring movie night.

End of Year Tax Forms

We are a 501(c)(3) organization. As you prepare for tax season, you can print copies of your orders/donations from our website.

With the new year, schedules change and perhaps one of your 2024 goals is to start volunteering. We have many opportunities for you to get involved during school hours and also when it might work within your schedule.
